FJD sells the V1t under three closely related names, and this listing's exact radio configuration is unconfirmed
FJD sells a plain V1t, a V1t (5w) variant, and, through one UK reseller, a "V1t Pro." GNSS, global navigation satellite system, is the general term for this class of receiver. RTK, real time kinematic correction, turns a raw GNSS signal into centimeter accuracy. FJD's plain V1t specs page, whose own page title reads "V1t RTK Rover(2w)," publishes no GNSS channel count at all. FJD's separate V1t (5w) page states 1408 channels, and FJD's own manual states 965 for the same rover family. The manual also puts the radio's working range at 5 to 10 km, with only a vague caveat about "strict requirements for the operation environment." If range or radio power decides your job, confirm the exact configuration before you order.

The rover carries a sensor that lets you tilt the pole up to 60 degrees without leveling a bubble
That sensor is an IMU, an inertial measurement unit combining a gyroscope and accelerometer, per FJD's own product copy. It frees the operator from watching and leveling the bubble while measuring. Tilt survey accuracy is 30 degrees of tilt at 2.5 cm horizontal accuracy, FJD's typical working angle, rising to a maximum tilt of 60 degrees. FJD does not separately state accuracy at the full 60 degree maximum, only at that typical working angle. The payoff is faster staking on sloped or obstructed ground. The tradeoff is trusting a sensor rather than a level, which the accuracy figures below have to earn.

RTK fixed accuracy is 8 mm horizontal and 15 mm vertical, both RMS, under conditions FJD does not publish
RTK accuracy, the figure that matters when you are staking out live in the field, is rated at ±8 mm+1 ppm horizontal and ±15 mm+1 ppm vertical. Both are RMS, root mean square, the standard way survey instruments state error. FJD does not publish the baseline, the distance between rover and base station, nor the satellite count or antenna height behind that number. Leaving the rover still and logging data reaches finer figures yet, down to 2.5 mm+0.1 ppm horizontal. PPP, precise point positioning, needs no base station or corrections network at all, and trades that freedom for 20 cm horizontal accuracy. Match the mode to how you will actually use the rover, not to the smallest number on the page.

FJD's specs pages state a 20 second cold start, its own older manual states 45 seconds for the same rover
FJD's product and specs pages state a cold start under 20 seconds and a hot start under 5 seconds. FJD's manual is a shared document covering both the V1 and V1t. It instead states a cold start under 45 seconds and a hot start under 15 seconds for the same rover. The manual reads as the older, broader document, so we are quoting the specs pages as current. Once fixed, the rover reacquires a lost signal in under 1 second. RTK initialization completes in under 5 seconds at baselines under 10 km, and holds a fix above 99.9 percent of the time.

IP67 covers the case, and FJD does not publish the test behind it or its 1.5 m drop claim
The rover measures 162 by 86 mm and weighs 1070 g, consistent across every FJD source we checked, including its own manual. It carries an IP67 rating, but FJD does not publish the IEC test method behind that rating anywhere: not the product page, either specs page, or the manual. FJD's own landing page separately advertises "1.5 m drop resistance" as marketing copy. That figure never appears as a tabulated spec, and the drop surface and test method are not published anywhere. Operating range is -30°C to +60°C, storage -40°C to +70°C, and the unit is rated for 100 percent condensing humidity.

The battery holds 6500 mAh, running base station mode for 10 hours. Rover mode reaches 20 hours typical at 1 W radio power, per FJD's own V1t product and specs pages. Charging uses USB-PD, USB's fast charging standard, rated 30 W on those same pages and 36 W in the manual. Bluetooth is the default connection. Switching to Wi-Fi connects to a network named after the receiver's serial number, and FJD's manual documents the pairing password as "12345678." Change it before you take the rover into the field.
